Introducing the latest vessel in an award-winning fleet – from Duchy Motor Launches, enter the Duchy Sport – at this year’s Southampton International Boat Show (SIBS22), which takes place between 16 and 25 September at Mayflower Park in the maritime city.
The acclaimed British boatbuilder will also showcase its Duchy 27 and Duchy 35, which continue to increase in popularity, with more than 60 Duchy Motor Launches having been sold to date.
Duchy Motor Launches are a sought-after, semi-production range that combines the classical lines of the gentleman’s launch of generations past with polished styling and modern luxury. Ranging from 21ft to 60ft, these stylish vessels can be customised with any number of optional extras to create a cruising environment that is unique to each owner, whether sailing on lakes, canals, fjords, or open water.
The Duchy Sport is the ultimate family fun boat for active watersports enthusiasts and is defined by its capacity to leave other sports boats in its wake, as you will see from the video here.
Elevating the flair of the Duchy brand to the next level, the Duchy Sport enables a range of activities including wakesurfing. As well as creating the perfect wave to surf, she also delivers all kinds of creature comforts for up to nine guests – from sunbeds and a wetbar to a forward cabin with day beds – all with the high-end finesse that you would expect from Cockwells.
The Cockwells team will also be on hand to share the design of the company’s all-new Hardy 45 European, which is currently in build at its Ponsharden Shipyard.
This model incorporates a sliding companionway door to the aft deck helm and cockpit seating area, a folding radar arch for safe passage beneath low bridges, a raised dining area with panoramic views and a sliding door to the starboard side deck.
An expansive Bimini supplies shade from the sun’s rays and supports removable awnings for all kinds of weather protection. Adjustable aft sunbeds provide comfortable seating around the dining table or a seabird’s eye view of the adrenalin-fuelled on-the-water action from the deck. Aft steps leading to a bathing platform with a large swim ladder enable easy access to azure waters. Generous stowage for water toys completes the scene.
“We can’t wait to launch our first Duchy Sport at this year’s SIBS and welcome visitors aboard the Duchy 27 and Duchy 35 so that they can experience first-hand the artisan craftsmanship, technical ingenuity and contemporary styling for which we are proud to have gained an international reputation,” explains Founder & Managing Director, Dave Cockwell. “After a further year of exceptional growth and building yet more Duchys, Hardy motor yachts and superyacht tenders for discerning clients, we are looking forward to meeting prospective purchasers and discussing how they would customise their vessels to mirror their personalities and chime with their lifestyles. Whether you long to cruise the coast or yearn to traverse the ocean, visit us at Berths M101-103 to find out more.”
